A recent heat wave struck the Philippines with temperatures reaching well above 100 degrees. The excessive heat, lasting for weeks, caused crop damage, school closures, and most devastating of all, many deaths. Individuals without access to proper shelter, air conditioning, or water quickly became dehydrated, causing them to fall ill, and in some cases die.

Our partner, who works with a forgotten community of people outside the city of Manila, quickly became overrun with individuals who were suffering ailments related to the intense heat. Many children and elderly had fallen ill and were in dire need of electrolytes, water, medicine, and fever relief. Our partner saw how great the need was and grew concerned that he and his team would never be able to help all those who were seeking medical assistance.

But here’s where you stepped in! Because of your kindness in giving to the Emergency Relief Program, Heaven’s Family was able to help provide our partner with tons of medicine, electrolytes, vitamins, and care packages to provide to these suffering individuals.

With your help, hundreds of forgotten people in the Philippines were able to receive life saving aid in the midst of this heat wave. Thank you for caring for these suffering individuals and showing them Christ’s love by providing for their emergent needs.
