From Bitterness to Belief

At just 17 years old, Sober had already given up on his future.

Living in a poverty-stricken Christian community in Karachi, Pakistan, he watched life pass him by. His elderly father was too weak to work, and his mother struggled to keep their small home running. There was never enough food, and certainly no money for education. As his friends went to school or found jobs, Sober stayed home, angry and ashamed. He felt forgotten—by the world and by God.

“I shouted at my parents—not because I hated them, but because I hated our life,” Sober shared. “I didn’t understand how God could let this happen to us.”

But your generosity made a way where there was no way.

Sober enrolled in a Christ-centered, Heaven’s Family-sponsored vocational training program. There, he learned graphic design, gained real work experience, and—most importantly—encountered the love and truth of Jesus.

Today, Sober has a job in a digital design company and a renewed faith in God. He supports his family financially, leads them in daily prayer, and shares his testimony with other youth who feel just as lost as he once did.

“Thank you,” Sober said. “You didn’t just give me a skill—you gave me a future. A reason to believe. A reason to dream again.”

Because of your support, Sober’s life—and his entire family—has been transformed. And he’s just one of many. Across Pakistan, young people are discovering their God-given worth and purpose through vocational training and discipleship.

Thank you for being part of stories like Sober’s. You are not just changing lives. You’re building disciples.
