No More Stray Dogs Stealing Their Food: A New Home and New Hope for a Widow and Two Orphans

Two young brothers, Ko Ko (15) and Maung Maung (14), had tragically lost both their parents at a very young age. After their mother’s death when they were toddlers, they lived with their father, who worked tirelessly in a factory to provide for them. Sadly, their father died in a motorbike accident six years later, leaving the boys orphans.

Their elderly aunt, herself a widow in her 60s, took them in, doing all she could to care for them. Earning only about $2 a day through odd jobs, she struggled daily to feed the boys, let alone provide for their other needs. Despite her hardships, she managed to enroll Ko Ko and Maung Maung in school, where they study diligently—Ko Ko even received an academic award this year!

However, their living conditions were dire. Their old house was falling apart — with broken doors that allowed stray dogs to steal their food, leaving them to go to bed hungry many nights. The structure was unsafe, especially with the looming rainy season and recent earthquakes in Myanmar.

Thanks to your generous support, Ko Ko, Maung Maung, and their aunt live in a safe, sturdy new home! They no longer worry about the roof collapsing during a storm or food being stolen by animals. Their home is now a place of refuge and hope.

Even their neighbors have noticed the transformation—and many have been moved by the love and care shown to this Christian family, offering a powerful testimony of God’s love at work.

Their aunt is overwhelmed with gratitude. Through tears, she gives thanks to God and to you who made this possible.
